Shaper, glasser, and designer Timmy Smith has been working with composites since he was 16. He launched ARC Surfboards in May 2019 in New England. Since then, he’s built everything from San Diego-style fish to Mavericks guns. ARC boards are built in Rhode Island, North Carolina, Florida, and California, and are surfed worldwide.
PureGlass - Costa Mesa, CA
Currently, a lot of ARC boards are coming out of PureGLass. These guys are the real deal. The quality is best in class, and some of the biggest brands in the world move boards through their doors.
Tiverton, Rhode Island
The home of Arc Surfboards is in Tiverton Rhode Island. About 15 minutes from Newport, and an hour from Boston. For the last two years since setting up shop here, every board has been pumped out of this space. Now, I use the Tiverton factory to build small batches of customs, stock boards, and my personal boards when I get the chance.
Wilmington, North Carolina
In October of 2021, we teamed up with Kenny Briel and Shawn O’Donnell at the Savage Surfboards factory in North Carolina. I flew down, shaped a batch of 12, and it felt like a second home.
